Novel Translator came out of a specific complaint I kept hearing about Webnovels AI: 'I just want to translate one book, I don't want a subscription.' Monthly billing is the right pricing model for power users, and the wrong one for people who have exactly one novel they want to finish.

So I built the same translation engine on a different pricing model. Credits, not subscriptions. Upload an EPUB, pay for the credits the translation burns, walk away with the translated EPUB forever. No account to cancel, no renewal email six months later.

Separate brand because the audiences barely overlap. Webnovels AI is for translators and heavy readers. Novel Translator is for people who clicked on one specific book and want it done.

Licensed translations take months, sometimes years. Fan translations stop halfway through. If you want to finish the novel, you need a tool, but the tool shouldn't require a monthly subscription just to translate one file.

Licensed platforms also censor. Anything remotely NSFW gets cut or cleaned up. That's fine for some books and a dealbreaker for others, and there's no polite way for licensed translators to say 'we can't touch that'.

Credits, not subscriptions. $10 buys you roughly four novels. Most people buy once and leave happy.

EPUB as the primary format. Drag the file in, drag the translated file out. No chapter-by-chapter workflow, no intermediate steps.

No NSFW filtering. The underlying model handles the source material without flinching. This is the thing licensed platforms fundamentally can't do, and it matters for half the catalog.

EPUB in, EPUB out

Drag the file, get it back. No chapter-by-chapter pasting.

Credits, no subscription

One-time purchase. Nothing to cancel.

NSFW-safe

Doesn't censor the source material. Licensed platforms can't.

Named entity consistency

Characters stay named the same across the whole book.

Two million page views a month, tens of thousands of novels translated, a 10k+ Discord. The credit model means I don't have to optimise for retention. Users come, translate their book, and leave happy. They come back when they start the next novel.

Next is EPUB 3 support and better multi-volume handling.

Book an hour and ask me. I do paid consults for scoping, debugging, and going deep on stuff like this.
